This past weekend was such a full one—in the very best way! While Jimmy was out of town for his best friend’s bachelor trip, I packed my days with friends, sunshine, shopping, and plenty of laughs. Here’s a little peek into what I was up to:
Thursday – Ladies Golf League & Dinner at the Club
After work on Thursday evening, I headed to my ladies golf league night, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite weeknight traditions. The weather was perfect, and we had such a fun round on the course. We actually got first place and got a birdie! Afterwards, we stayed for dinner at the club, ordered some delicious food, and chatted the night away. There’s something so refreshing about starting the weekend early with girlfriends, good conversation, and a little golf action.
Friday – Walks & Girls’ Night In
Friday after work, I took Rocky on a little walk to soak up the warm summer air before heading to Ali’s house for a girls’ night with her and Marisa. She made the most amazing spread—kale salad, fruit salad, fresh guacamole, hot dogs, and s’mores for dessert. We sat out on the patio enjoying the cozy summer evening, laughed until our cheeks hurt, and played games like Tapple and Play Nine card game. It was a much needed laid-back but such fun girls night.
Saturday – The Ultimate Girls’ Day
Saturday was a marathon girls’ day with Bri and Emma, and it was everything. We started at Pinecrest with coffee from Heartwood Coffee Roasters before doing some serious shopping. We hit all the essentials—Alo, Athleta, Aerie, Nike, Fabletics, Fount, FP Movement, and Urban Outfitters.
Then we made our way up to Woodmere for round two: TJ Maxx, Orvis, Anthropologie, Lululemon, and Vuori. By then, our shopping bags (and feet) were telling us it was time for a break.
We wrapped up the day in downtown Chagrin Falls with dinner at JoJo’s, and it was the perfect spot. We got the cutest little table, ordered fun cocktails (I had a lemon spritz—so refreshing), and shared truffle fries and calamari before diving into entrees. I went with the spicy rigatoni, and let me just say: delicious. We couldn’t skip dessert, of course, and ended on the sweetest note before heading home for a cozy little movie night and gifts. Truly the perfect girls’ day from start to finish.
For shopping, I wore a yellow mini skirt from Gianni Bini with white Steve Madden sandals and a white knit tank from Express. Later, for dinner, I swapped the sandals for yellow Franco Sarto heels and grabbed my Tory Burch shoulder bag. It was such a cute, summery little look that felt perfect for a full day out and about.
Sunday – Coffee, Walks & Family Time
Sunday morning started with a walk with Rocky and then coffee with Carsen at The Still House at Gervasi. Their drinks are always so delicious. After that, we met up with Ali for another walk before heading off to lunch with Jimmy’s family.
The afternoon was spent at his parents’ house where we relaxed, played cards, and enjoyed a Dairy Queen treat (because what’s a summer weekend without ice cream?). Ali was packing up to head back to Miami, which was bittersweet, but it was so nice to squeeze in a little more time together before she left.
Finally, Jimmy got home, and we ended the weekend by curling up on the couch together, catching up, and enjoying some much-needed time together.
The Perfect Weekend
Even though Jimmy was away, the weekend was filled with so many special little moments—golf, girls’ nights, shopping sprees, family meals, and plenty of time outside. I always feel so grateful for friends and loved ones who make even the simplest plans feel so special. My heart (and my calendar!) feel so full. 💛
