Valentine’s Day Weekend + Birthday Celebrations: A Little Love, A Lot of Pink, and So Much to Celebrate

This weekend is shaping up to be one of my favorites of the year — not only is it Valentine’s Day, but my birthday is right behind it, which means a few days filled with love, quality time, girlfriends, good food, and of course… lots of pink.

I decided to take Friday off so I could really lean into the celebrations and slow down to enjoy every moment. Sometimes the best gift you can give yourself is time, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

Friday: Valentine’s Day + A Full Day Date with Jimmy

We’re starting Valentine’s Day the sweetest way possible — at home. I’m making Jimmy French toast and bacon for breakfast (one of his favorites), and we’ll ease into the day together before heading out for couples massages. I truly can’t think of a better way to kick off the weekend than relaxing side by side, followed by sauna time with champagne and chocolates. Pure bliss.

After that, the plan is to head home, get ready, and grab a late lunch at Lola’s Bistro in Chagrin Falls. If you’ve never been, it’s one of those cozy, charming spots that feels perfect for a Valentine’s lunch date. From there, we might do a little shopping — either Pinecrest or Woodmere — popping into some of my favorite stores like Alson Jewelers, Vuori, Anthropologie, Lululemon, and wherever else catches our eye. I love days like this where there’s a loose plan but plenty of room to wander and see where the afternoon takes us.

Friday evening we are heading to Birdietown in Lakewood! Were so excited to try it! and then afterwards going to Shinto in Westlake for dinner. We love sushi and havent been so were super excited to try it out!

I haven’t fully planned my outfit yet for Friday, but I’m thinking something cute and casual, and of course in Valentine’s colors — pink or red feels mandatory.

Saturday: Galentine’s Cupid’s Café + Birthday Brunch

Saturday morning is all about hosting my Galentine’s Cupid’s Café + Birthday Brunch at 11:00 am. This gives me the early morning to finish prepping and setting up before my girlfriends arrive. I’m so excited to celebrate both Galentine’s Day and my birthday surrounded by my favorite girls — it truly doesn’t get better than that.

I’m still deciding between two outfits: either my pink blazer dress from Lioness or my pink knit dress (a dupe from SAME). Both feel festive, feminine, and perfect for the brunch theme.

We’ll spend a few hours eating, crafting, laughing, and celebrating together before everyone heads out.

For dinner, we’re deciding between two of our favorite options. Either we’ll head to Kasai in Green (which hands down has my favorite sushi around), or we’ll stay in and make filet mignons at home with our go-to demi-glace sauce, open a bottle of wine, play cards, and just relax together. Honestly, both sound perfect — we’ll probably just follow the vibe of the day.

Sunday: Café Dates + Family Birthday Celebrations

Sunday morning we’re heading to Blue Door Café & Bakery in Cuyahoga Falls for breakfast (or brunch — let’s be real). After that, we’ll get ready for a big family celebration at Jimmy’s parents’ house later in the day.

This is one of my favorite traditions because we celebrate everyone at once: both of Jimmy’s parents’ birthdays, Jimmy’s brother-in-law, Jimmy’s sister, and mine. His mom always hosts the most beautiful formal dinners, followed by gifts and lots of quality family time.

For Sunday, I’m planning to wear the Nominee Satin Blouse in Pink from Aritzia tucked into my ivory wide-leg Zara trousers, paired with light pink pearl Gianni Bini heels — soft, elegant, and perfectly on-theme.

Monday: My Birthday

Monday is officially my birthday! Unfortunately, I do have to work, but I’m still making sure it feels special. I’ll be treating myself to my favorite local coffee and pastry in the morning (a must), and then Jimmy has a surprise dinner reservation planned for that evening. I’m so excited and cannot wait to see what he has planned.

For dinner, I’ll be wearing the Audience Satin Halter Dress in Juicy Red from Aritzia with a fun pair of pumps. I haven’t fully decided which shoes yet, but I’m leaning toward gold strappy sandals paired with my gold YSL clutch for a little extra sparkle.

This weekend feels like the perfect mix of romance, friendship, family, and self-care — and I truly couldn’t ask for more. I’m so grateful to be surrounded by so much love and can’t wait to soak up every single moment.

Here’s to Valentine’s Day, turning another year older, and celebrating life’s sweetest moments. 💕✨
