The second week of April can’t come fast enough — because we’re heading to Palm Beach with Jimmy’s family and our family friends, and I’m already deep in planning mode. Palm Beach has such a distinct vibe. It’s classic, polished, colorful, and coastal all at once — the kind of place where satin pants feel appropriate at breakfast and a sundress instantly makes sense. We’ll also be spending time around Mar-a-Lago Club, which definitely adds to the excitement (and the outfit planning, let’s be honest).
This trip feels extra special because it’s not just a getaway — it’s quality time with people we love, sunshine after a long winter, and a chance to lean into spring fashion in one of the chicest beach towns in Florida. So today I’m sharing what I’m packing, how I’m approaching Palm Beach style, and my best tips for dressing for warm days, family dinners, and everything in between.
The Palm Beach Aesthetic (In My Mind)
Palm Beach style is timeless and elevated, but still relaxed.
Think:
Soft pastels and crisp whites
Flowy dresses and tailored trousers
Natural fabrics like linen and cotton
Satin sets - effortless and elevated
Gold jewelry
Chic sandals and wedges
Sunglasses always
It’s very “effortlessly put together.” Nothing feels overly trendy — it’s more about classic silhouettes with playful color.
For me, that means leaning into:
Pink tones (always)
Satin blouses and feminine dresses
Lightweight layers
Structured accessories
I want every outfit to feel comfortable, polished, and vacation-ready.
What I’m Packing for Palm Beach
I’m keeping my suitcase intentional this trip — focusing on pieces that mix and match easily and work for multiple occasions.
Here’s my general packing formula:
👗 Dresses (My Vacation Staple)
Palm Beach is a dress town. I’m bringing:
A few breezy daytime sundresses - the Tulum Nights Pink Palm Maxi dress from Confete
One or two elevated dinner dresses - The Taylor Dress from Maude Club & the Oli sleeveless mini Lemon dress from Meshki
A mini dress for a fun night out - The Caprice Halter Knit Mini dress in pink from Meshki
A soft neutral dress for daytime exploring - a fun vacay Antonio Melani dress
An evening cocktail dress for the SEALS event we have Thursday evening - The Sloane Ruffle Maxi Dress in Blush from Confete
I already know I’ll be packing my Taylor Dress from Maude Club — it’s light, flattering, and feels perfect for warm spring evenings.
👚 Tops + Bottoms
For variety, I’m also packing:
Satin blouses
Linen tanks
Lightweight sweaters for evenings
White trousers
Neutral shorts
One piece I’m especially excited to style is my pink Nominee Satin Blouse from Aritzia. It’s such a versatile top — perfect with trousers for dinner or dressed down with denim during the day.
👡 Shoes
Comfort matters, especially when walking around town.
I’m bringing:
Flat sandals for daytime - Thinking my new Tory Burch sandals
Dressy heels for dinners - Planning on my off white Antonio Melani strappy sandal heels
A comfy sneaker for travel days
One statement pair (probably something pink or gold) - My JW PEI Floral heels
Pro tip: stick to neutral shoes so they work with every outfit.
👜 Accessories
Accessories really make Palm Beach outfits shine.
My must-haves:
Straw or woven tote
Small crossbody bag
Cute hats duh - thinking a sun hat
Gold jewelry
Statement sunglasses - My MiuMiu's and Fendis of course
Hair clips or head scarfs - I have a few fun floral claw clips that will be perfect
I’ll also be bringing my gold clutch from Yves Saint Laurent for evenings — it instantly elevates any look.
Daytime Palm Beach Style
During the day, I’m all about comfort with polish.
Think:
Sundress + sandals + sunglasses
Linen pants + tank + woven bag
Tailored shorts + slouchy top + mules
Light makeup + slicked-back bun or claw clip
Whether we’re grabbing coffee, walking around town, or lounging by the pool, I want outfits that feel effortless but intentional.
This is where breathable fabrics and simple silhouettes really shine.
Dinner + Evening Looks
Evenings in Palm Beach call for something a little more elevated — especially when you’re out with family and friends.
My go-to formula:
Satin blouse + white trousers
Flowy midi dress + heels
Mini dress + gold accessories + statement clutch
Nothing too over-the-top — just classic pieces styled thoughtfully. I love soft pinks, creams, and warm neutrals for dinner looks.
Beauty + Travel Essentials
For beauty, I’m keeping things light and glowy:
Tinted moisturizer - Colorscience of course
Cream blush - Rare Beauty
Lip treatment - Summer Fridays
Mascara - Ilia
Bronzer - Makeup by Mario
Highlighter - Smashbox x Becca
Plus SPF (always). My new fave is the Unseen Sunscreen by Supergoop!
I’ll also be packing:
My red light mask for nighttime skincare - Omnilux travel
Hair tools for soft waves - Dyson Airwrap and Bed Head wand
A hydrating mist for travel days - Day + West
Vacation skin hits different when you keep it simple.
Palm Beach Packing Tips
A few things I always remind myself before warm-weather trips:
✔ Bring breathable fabrics
✔ Pack outfits instead of individual pieces
✔ Stick to a color palette
✔ Bring more dresses than jeans
✔ Don’t forget a light layer for evenings
Palm Beach is all about ease — you don’t need a ton of clothes, just the right ones.
Why I’m So Excited for This Trip
More than the outfits, I’m excited for the moments.
Morning coffee with family and friends. Poolside afternoons. Long dinners. Laughing with friends. Feeling sunshine on my skin after a long Ohio winter. Trips like this remind me how important it is to slow down and soak in time with the people you love.
And honestly? There’s something magical about stepping into spring somewhere warm, colorful, and full of life.
Final Thoughts
Palm Beach style is about embracing femininity, simplicity, and confidence. It’s wearing the dress. Adding the gold jewelry. Choosing the pink blouse. Letting yourself feel beautiful on vacation.
I can’t wait to share more from this trip once we’re there — outfits, memories, and all the little moments in between.
Here’s to sunshine, family time, and April in Palm Beach. 🌴💗
