🍁 Fall Girls Craft Day: Gilmore Girls Edition

I decided in the Summer that I am going to host a fun girls get together with crafts, snacks, and friends every season. In June, I hosted a Summer I Turned Pretty Party and it was so much fun. I have been so excited to plan my fall craft day and I'm leaning towards a Gilmore Girls themed party!

🎀 Theme & Vibe

Think Stars Hollow energy: cozy, charming, and nostalgic. Mix rustic fall decor with Gilmore Girls touches—coffee everywhere, donuts, pop tarts, popcorn, pizza, Chinese food, yale decor, lukes diner decor, witty signs (“Coffee, please, and a shot of cynicism”), and lots of plaid blankets and candles.

🪞 Styling & Decor

• Color Palette: Burgundy, burnt orange, mustard, deep green, navy, and tan.

• Decor Ideas:

  • A “coffee cart” corner styled like Luke’s Diner (thermoses, mugs, sugar packets, diner-style napkins).

  • Cozy plaid throws on chairs.

  • A little "Kims Antiques" sections with some of my vintage furniture & decor

  • A “Fall in Stars Hollow” signboard.

  • Stacks of books + a few framed Gilmore Girls quotes on the table.

  • cozy candles and pumpkins throughout!

• Music: The Gilmore Girls soundtrack or an acoustic coffeehouse playlist.

🍴 Food & Snacks

Gilmore Girls love comfort food, so lean into cozy, indulgent, and a little quirky.

• Savory Bites:

  • Chinese food of course - their favorite! Thinking sushi & eggrolls

  • Pizza - DUH (like Sookie might whip up) but ordering out of course

  • Cheese + charcuterie board with autumn fruits (figs, grapes, apples)

• Sweet Treats:

  • Pumpkin cookies - my favorite

  • Donuts of course!

  • Apple crisp - yumm!

  • Candy bowls with Pop-Tarts, Twizzlers, and Oreos (GG staples)

  • Cant forget the popcorn too!

• Drinks:

  • Coffee bar with syrups (pumpkin spice, caramel, vanilla)

  • Hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks

Choose fun, easy crafts that keep hands busy while chatting and sipping coffee:

1. Fall Candle Making 🕯️

   • Use soy wax + amber jars.

   • Scents: pumpkin chai, apple cider, vanilla bourbon.

   • Tie with twine + tag for a take-home favor.

2. Paint Your Own Mug ☕

   • White ceramic mugs + paint pens.

   • Perfect for coffee lovers, and on-theme for Gilmore Girls.

3. Pumpkin Painting 🎃

   • Skip the mess of carving; provide mini pumpkins + paints, metallic pens, stickers.

   • Add plaid ribbons around the stems for extra charm.

4. Friendship Bracelet/Necklace Station ✨

   • A nod to Rory & Lane. Use autumn-colored beads (burgundy, mustard, forest green)

   
   

   I'm leaning towards a charm necklace craft because it's so cute and something all the girls would genuinely enjoy and wear!

• Set up a cozy photo corner with plaid blankets, a pile of pumpkins, a “Luke’s Diner” sign, and string lights.
