A formal beach wedding in Seaside, FL, in November calls for beach-friendly elegance. I'm thinking breathable fabrics, light colors (steering clear of white), and fun footwear suited for sand—like wedges or block heels. My boyfriend is the best man in his best friends wedding this Fall and it's in 30A so we're making the most of it and are looking forward to an entire week full of fun events and things to do with friends and family.
Wednesday–Friday: Arrival & Pre-Wedding
By Day: I'm thinking travel-friendly linens, soft maxi skirts or wide-leg trousers paired with breezy blouses and espadrilles
Accessories: Packing versatile straw hats, oversized sunglasses, and raffia totes (great for both day exploring and beach lounging)
Evenings: I plan on slipping into a fun printed wrap dress or a cute matching set that transitions seamlessly from dinner to sunset walks on the beach.
Mornings: Expecting lots of coffee walks, bike rides, pickleball games, and golf cart adventures - thinking my form activewear set, a cute casual set, and a fun golf/active dress with sneakers.
Saturday: Girls on the Beach, Guys on the Green
Girls’ Beach Day: Going for chic, cute swimwear—high-waisted bikini or one-piece in tropical prints or pastel tones. Paired with a breezy cover-up like a button-down dress or lightweight duster. And adding a straw tote and wide-brim hat.
Guys Golfing: Expect relaxed-tailored shirts, perhaps pastel polos, paired with breathable chinos or tailored shorts (if allowed)—smart yet comfy.
Sunday: Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party (Cocktail Vibes)
Dress to impress with semi-formal flair - but keep it casual:
Women: Tea-length or chic midi dresses—perhaps lace or floral—paired with block-heel sandals or dressy wedges
I plan to wear the SNDYS Azaria True Maxi dress in blue - its knit with a little glimmer to it.
Men: Lightweight linen-blend trousers with a sport coat or patterned blazer over a crisp shirt. Skip flip-flops—opt for loafers or espadrilles
Accessories: Statement earrings or layered necklaces, plus a sleek clutch, and fun heeled sandals.
Later that night: Bridal party - out on the town (Western Edit)
Dan Post Boots: I'll be wearing my josie boots in ivory. perfect for a coastal cowgirl look!
Outfit inspo: I'm thinking a denim dress or set, a brown mini dress, or a mini skirt with a fun top
Monday: Wedding Day (Beach Formal)
Women’s Attire: Thinking elegant floor-length or flowing maxi—materials like chiffon, lace, or tulle elevate the look while staying airy. I think colors complementary to the ocean—coral, pale blue, butter yellow, seafoam, dusty rose. I'm leaning more towards butter yellow or pale blue. I have a few favorites picked out already: Andie Dress - Butter from Cocolillys and the Lyza Strapless Maxi Dress from More to Come
Shoes: Chunky heels or wedge sandals are sand-smart and elegant - thinking gold tones
Men (if applicable): A tailored linen or seersucker suit in light blue or beige with polished loafers
Final touches: Statement earrings, a breezy updo or soft waves, and a shell-accented clutch to tie in the coastal theme.
Tuesday: Brunch & Pickleball
Brunch: A cheerful sundress or relaxed jumpsuit in lively prints or pastel tones—perfect for Sunday’s post-wedding glow.
Pickleball (or active vibes): Cute activewear—thinking pastel bike shorts with a cropped tank or flowy skort and tee. Paired with sleek sneakers and a visor or cap.
Extras: A lightweight cardigan or oversized button-down to layer if the morning breeze is cool.
