This past Sunday could not have been more picture-perfect for a quintessential fall girls day. My best friend Bri and I headed out to Arrowhead Apple Orchard in East Canton, and it was truly one of those days that felt like it was pulled straight from a cozy autumn Pinterest board — full of laughter, good food, golden sunshine, and endless fall vibes.
Our Fall-Perfect Outfits 🍂
Naturally, we had to dress the part. Fall fashion is half the fun of a seasonal outing, and we fully committed to the cozy-chic aesthetic. I wore my tan Levi barrel jeans paired with a cognac suede cropped jacket layered over a brown bodysuit from Abercrombie. My light beige ivory booties from Allegra James completed the look perfectly, along with my tan suede studded clutch from Target for that final touch of texture and edge. Bri looked equally adorable, and together we were definitely giving Gilmore Girls meets modern fall fashion energy.
The weather could not have been better — the kind of crisp, sunny day that makes you fall in love with autumn all over again. The air was cool enough for jackets but warm enough to stroll comfortably through the orchard, surrounded by the scent of apples, hay, and cinnamon.
The Perfect Start: Food Truck Finds 🍟
Our first stop of the day was the food truck area — because every good fall day starts with comfort food. We ordered corn dogs, fries, and fried pickles, and it was exactly what we needed to kick off our afternoon. The corn dogs were golden and crispy, the fries perfectly salted, and the fried pickles were the ultimate indulgent treat. There’s just something about snacking on fair-style food outdoors that makes it taste even better.
Sippin’ Cider & Apple Picking 🍏
After lunch, we grabbed hot apple ciders to go — because what’s a trip to the orchard without one? The cider was warm, sweet, and spiced just right, the perfect accessory to carry as we wandered through rows of apple trees. We took our time picking apples, chatting, laughing, and of course snapping all the cute photos along the way. The scenery was stunning — endless rows of apples glistening in the soft afternoon sun.
Sunflowers & Hayrides 🌻
Next, we made our way to the sunflower fields, which were absolutely breathtaking. We picked a few to take home and, naturally, took more cute pics among the golden blooms. There’s just something so peaceful about standing in a field of sunflowers with your best friend, soaking in the beauty of the moment.
From there, we hopped on the hayride that took us back to the main area. It was one of those simple, nostalgic moments that just makes you smile — the tractor humming softly, the cool breeze in our hair, and everyone chatting and laughing as we passed the pumpkin patches and market stalls.
Market Finds & Sweet Treats 🎃
Back at the main area, we strolled through the market to browse all the local goodies. Before leaving, we couldn’t resist grabbing a bag of fresh kettle corn to snack on later — because what’s a fall day without a little something sweet?
As we headed home, we happened to pass a cute little local market, and of course, we had to stop. It was the perfect spontaneous addition to the day. Inside, we found so many amazing local products — fresh fruits and vegetables, locally sourced meats, and homemade zucchini bread that was absolutely delicious. They also had the most beautiful massive mums for only $14 and huge carving pumpkins for just $5, which felt like such a steal.
The Perfect End to the Perfect Day 🤎
By the time we got back in the car, our hearts (and our hands) were full — with apples, flowers, local goodies, and all the happy fall feelings. There’s truly nothing like spending a day surrounded by nature, sunshine, and your best friend.
This little fall adventure reminded me how simple joys — good company, good food, and a beautiful day outdoors — can make for the ultimate girls day. It was cozy, fun, a little bit spontaneous, and full of laughter — everything that fall is meant to be.
So if you’ve been wanting to plan a fall day with your girls, this is your sign to do it. Pick an orchard, grab your cutest jacket, order the fried pickles, sip your cider, and just soak it all in. Because honestly, days like these are what make the season so special. 🍁
