A Morning of Style: My Personal Styling Workshop at Laura of Pembroke
This past weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of hosting my personal styling workshop at Laura of Pembroke in Canton, Ohio—and it was everything I had hoped for and more.
From 11:00 to 1:00, the boutique was filled with an incredible group of women who showed up ready to learn, be inspired, and have fun with fashion. The energy in the room was so special—supportive, engaged, and genuinely excited about personal style.
We started the morning by diving into one of my favorite topics: building a capsule wardrobe. I shared how creating a wardrobe filled with versatile, timeless pieces can completely transform the way you get dressed. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a closet full of “nothing to wear,” a capsule approach helps you create more outfits with less—making your wardrobe work smarter, not harder.
From there, we talked about the power of outfit formulas—one of the most impactful tools I use with my clients. I explained how having go-to combinations (like blazer + tee + denim, or dress + denim jacket + sandal) takes the guesswork out of getting dressed and creates effortless, polished looks every time. It was so fun to see everyone start to connect the dots between pieces they already own and new ways to style them.
One of my favorite parts of the workshop was guiding everyone through discovering their personal style using the workbook I created. This was such a meaningful moment—encouraging each woman to think about how she wants to show up, what she feels most confident in, and how her wardrobe can reflect that. Style is so much more than clothing—it’s a form of self-expression, and seeing everyone lean into that was incredibly inspiring.
Of course, we couldn’t talk about style without touching on current fashion trends—what’s in, how to wear it, and most importantly, how to incorporate trends in a way that still feels authentic to you. We then moved into a live styling session, which brought everything together. Using pieces from the boutique, I demonstrated how to style one top four completely different ways:
A casual, everyday look
An elevated everyday outfit
A chic date night look
A polished workwear outfit
This was such a fun, interactive moment and really showed how versatile a single piece can be when styled intentionally. It’s proof that great style isn’t about having more—it’s about knowing how to use what you have.
After the styling session, everyone had time to shop, mix, and mingle, which made the experience feel even more special. Guests enjoyed mimosas and small bites while browsing the beautiful selection at Laura of Pembroke, trying on pieces, and chatting about everything we had just learned. It truly felt like the perfect blend of styling session and girls’ day.
I left the workshop feeling so grateful—for the amazing women who attended, for the opportunity to share what I love, and for the beautiful space that Laura of Pembroke provided. Events like this remind me exactly why I started my styling business: to help women feel confident, inspired, and excited about getting dressed.
This was such a special day, and I already can’t wait to host the next one 🤍
