If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m all about curating a versatile, stylish wardrobe without breaking the bank — or overstuffing my closet. A few years ago, I decided to try Nuuly, the clothing rental service by URBN (the same company behind Anthropologie, Free People, and Urban Outfitters), and let me just say… I’m officially hooked.
After using it for several months now, I can confidently say Nuuly has completely changed the way I shop, style, and think about my wardrobe. Whether you love fashion, hate over-buying clothes, or just want to try something new each month, Nuuly is seriously a game-changer.
What Is Nuuly?
In case you’re new to it — Nuuly is a monthly clothing rental subscription service. For $98 per month, you get to rent six pieces from brands like Anthropologie, Free People, Urban Outfitters, and other premium and contemporary labels. You wear them for the month, then send them back when you’re done (shipping and dry cleaning are included).
It’s super easy — you just return the clothes in the reusable Nuuly bag, or if you really fall in love with something, you can buy it at a discounted price.
Why I Decided to Try It
I originally signed up for Nuuly because I found myself in need of a special outfit for the holidays. I was constantly feeling like I had “nothing special to wear,” even though my closet was full. I love trying new trends and pieces, but I hated spending so much money on items I’d wear only a few times.
Enter Nuuly. The idea of rotating high-quality pieces every month without the guilt (or clutter) sounded perfect. Plus, I loved that the selection includes everything from everyday staples to statement pieces — so it fits both my lifestyle and content creation needs.
What I Love About Nuuly
1. It Keeps My Wardrobe Fresh
One of my favorite things about Nuuly is that I never get bored with my clothes. Every month feels like a mini shopping spree — I browse their site, pick out six pieces, and then a few days later, a new wardrobe arrives on my doorstep. It’s honestly the best feeling!
I love using it for upcoming trips, events, or content shoots because I can try fun new outfits without committing to buying them. It’s helped me experiment more with my style — trying bolder pieces I might not normally buy.
2. The Brands and Quality Are Amazing
Since Nuuly is run by URBN, the brand selection is so good. I can rent pieces from Anthropologie, Free People, Urban Outfitters, Farm Rio, AGOLDE, LoveShackFancy, Selkie, Levi’s, and so many others.
And the best part? Everything comes in great condition — clean, steamed, and ready to wear. I was honestly surprised by how good the quality was from my very first order.
3. It’s Perfect for Trips and Events
If you travel often or have weddings, showers, vacations, or events coming up — Nuuly is such a smart hack. Instead of buying something new for every occasion, I can rent a few fun outfits, wear them once or twice, and send them back.
For example, I used Nuuly when I went on my Miami girls’ trip — I picked a few fun vacation outfits that photographed so well but didn’t have to take up space in my closet afterward. & I just ordered 6 new fresh pieces for my trip to Seaside next week!
4. You Can Buy What You Love
One feature I adore is the option to buy any item from your monthly rental at a discounted price. There have been a few times when I rented something and ended up loving it so much that I couldn’t part with it — and being able to purchase it for less than retail is such a win. It’s a great way to make sure you’re only investing in pieces you truly love and will actually wear.
5. It’s Sustainable and Space-Saving
I love that Nuuly supports a more sustainable approach to fashion. Renting instead of buying reduces waste and overconsumption, and it’s such a smart way to refresh your wardrobe without constantly adding to it.
It’s also saved me so much closet space. My wardrobe feels cleaner, more intentional, and less overwhelming now that I’m not constantly buying and hoarding new things.
6. It’s So Easy and Convenient
Nuuly makes the process seamless. The clothes arrive in a reusable shipping bag (no boxes or waste), and when it’s time to return, you just zip everything back up and drop it off. Shipping, returns, and dry cleaning are all included in the monthly price, which makes it completely hassle-free. & what's nice is you can pause or cancel your membership at any time at no cost! I honestly only use Nuuly when I have a special event coming up, or for the holidays, or for vacation, otherwise its usually paused!
How I Style My Nuuly Pieces
Each month, I like to choose a mix of pieces — a few basics I can wear daily, a couple of trendy pieces, and something fun for weekend plans or content. For example:
A classic Free People sweater that I wear on repeat.
A Farm Rio dress that’s perfect for dinner dates or brunch.
Some AGOLDE jeans I’ve had my eye on forever.
A statement Anthropologie jacket that adds personality to any outfit.
I love mixing these pieces with my own wardrobe staples — it’s like having an entirely new closet each month without the commitment.
Is Nuuly Worth It?
In my opinion — absolutely yes. If you love fashion, travel often, or want to refresh your wardrobe without overspending, Nuuly is 100% worth it. It saves money, closet space, and time, all while letting you have fun with your style.
Plus, it’s honestly just exciting. Every month feels like a new opportunity to experiment, try new looks, and discover brands or pieces you might not have picked otherwise.
