Miami was an absolute BLAST! My boyfriends sister is an entrepreneur living in Miami and I finally visited her this past weekend. She had an entire agenda planned for us which I loved! I'm such a planner and wanted to visit all the best spots and her schedule was on point! From the food, to the shopping, to the site seeing, it couldn't have been more perfect.
I got to Miami a little after Midnight Friday night so by the time we got home and said our hellos and settled in, we went straight to bed.
Saturday
Despite getting to bed pretty late, we woke up bright and early Saturday morning to take full advantage of the day and our time together. We started off with a little walk and she showed me her favorite restaurants, coffee shops, and views and it was beautiful. That walk would never get old for me. Then we went back and got dressed and she took me to Sadelle's at Coconut Grove and it was hands down the best breakfast I have ever had! We shared the blueberry pancakes and each got a side of scrambled eggs and sausage and WOW. The eggs were the best eggs I have ever had. they were so light and creamy and seriously delicious. Then we walked around and did a little shopping. We stopped at Alice+Olivia, Malbone, LoveShackFancy, Books & Books, and Buck Mason. We found plenty of things we loved but didn't end up buying anything. We then drove to the Shops and Merrick Park and did some shopping at the Nordstrom Sale and went to Anthropologie, and Sephora and it started pouring rain so we decided to head back towards her apartment. We did a little relaxing and then she gave me an apartment tour of her building and the we got ready for dinner. We ate at Mila and it was one of the best dinners I've had. We ordered and split the spicy tuna crispy rice, the avocado tomato salad, the truffle cream spaghetti, the spicy Hamachi sushi roll, and the exotic vacherin for dessert. It was such a light yet filling dinner. The ambiance was beautiful and there was a fire girl dancer as well. It was a 10/10 experiences.
Sunday
Saturday was a very eventful day as well! We started the morning off playing pickleball which was so fun. We wore matching gingham sets from Astoria Activewear and they are so cute! Then we went to Maman & I had the best breakfast sandwich and latte that I have ever had. I ordered the Salted Tahini Honeycomb latte and Estee's Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich and it was truly incredible. Then we drove to South Beach and went to a French Farmers Market, visited the pier, went on a beach walk, and then went back to the apartment. We went to the pool and ordered salads and fries and relaxed for a little bit. Then we got ready for dinner and went to Carbone which was another amazing dinner and incredible experience. Ali ordered the Octopus Pizzaiolo and I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and we shared a Lemon Cheesecake for dessert. It was literally mouthwatering. The ambiance and food was another 10/10 and I am already craving more of that pizza bread, spicy rigatoni, and cheesecake. Another incredible experience. I was VERY happy with Ali's choosing of restaurants on this entire trip.
Monday
Monday morning we went to get matcha at pura vida and then went to Ojo to get an acai bowl and ate at Ali's apartment. Then we went to the Brickell City Center to do a little shopping and wow! Miami has some amazing shops and stores. I told Ali, if I lived in Miami I'd be broke and fat from all the good food and shopping. HA. I got to experience shopping at Mango for the first time in person which was incredible! From there we packed, relaxed, did some laundry and cleaning, and left for the airport. Although the trip was short, I had the best time! We had so much fun shopping together, hanging out by the pool, and the food was insanely good. I cant wait to go back and visit her again, hopefully next time with Jimmy :) Thankfully, Al is coming home to Ohio for a few weeks so we were on the same flight home which made it much more fun that traveling solo!
I have linked all my outfits on my ShopMy and LTK. Stay tuned for a full youtube vlog of our trip! Until next time Miami!
